Why did we create this design system?
We created this design system to bring more unified, scalable way to, intially, help our design team, distributed in different countries and regions of the world, to speak the same visual language, to design together, and produce consistent visuals across the products we’ve been working on as an agency. With growing client base and increased engagement developing a well-managed design system was the only way be able to run 10-15 projects in parallel.
We wanted to close the gap between design and development and streamline our entire product design workflow while doing so. By documenting the entire process and creating video tutorials for our junior designers to learn how to work with design systems we figured, what if could take this design system further and share it with the entire design world to see.
That’s how the UI Lab design system was born. Tailored to beginner designers, developers, and whole design teams, lost in the process, not sure where to start and how to properly utilize the full power and possibilities the design system has to offer.
UI Lab Design System has been meticulously crafted and improved based on all our experiences working as a multidisciplinary design team over the last few years.
